My hurricane isn't exactly authentic or photogenic, and it was made solely from what was already in the house. To me, a hurricane is basically a heinous drink that one enjoys after a really long week, when one wants nothing more than to sit (or stand) and allow this dark heinous drink to work its black magic upon his or her soul and turn their upside-down stressed out reality into a soothed and content state of relaxation. You in? 

1 oz kirsch 

2 oz tequila, gold or silver, I used gold

1 oz light rum

2 oz cranberry juice

3 oz grape soda

Fill a tall glass with ice. Pour in the liquor. Add juice, and then top off the glass with soda. Stir well.

Done and done.
